Law of Attraction

“When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was. (John 2:9)” Jesus exemplified the law of attraction through his every act. Some would say it is impossible to turn one substance into another, but not so for the Savior of the World. The fact that man does not comprehend a miracle does not mean it has broken any scientific law.

Christ held power known as the priesthood, which enabled him to perform acts that would most certainly be impossible without such power. When he turned water into wine the molecules honored his authority and rearranged themselves into wine. Because of his perfect righteousness, even the molecules of the Earth obeyed his every command. Jesus received such great honor because He had proved that He would never take advantage of his power. The Savior never used his ability to receive fame or fortune, but to carry out his ministry in bringing people to a knowledge of the gospel.

The law of attraction states that “people’s thoughts dictate the reality of their lives.” Christ showed that anyone who would follow Him would have the chance of gaining peace in this life and eternal glory in the life to come. Though Jesus was tempted many times He never gave into sin, and thus constantly was filled with God’s Spirit. The blessings that came from His life are a testament to the way he thought. He never uttered an unkind word or entertained a nasty thought. For all the harsh criticism he received, he never desired revenge. Even while upon the cross He asked the Father to forgive the Roman soldiers “for they know not what they do.”

Jesus attracted more attention than any man that ever lived. He drew great curiosity for the works he did. His name was had for good and evil across Jerusalem. Despite the Pharisees’ many attempts to trap him in His words they could never succeed. The light which emanated from Him attracted more light and cast out all darkness. The principle of attraction is what caused Christ to be so great. He was so clearly on the side of good that anything crude or wicked was repelled. Miracles, healings, and mended lives followed Christ wherever he went.

The same principle of attraction can apply to any person who lives the gospel. When your mind is filled with peace and positivity you will reap pleasantness. A mind filled with darkness and anger will encounter difficulties. “As a man thinketh, so he is.” Truer words could not be said and we should never underestimate the power of our thoughts.
